SmartMyBoat Navigator enables remote monitoring of your vessel via the Roku app.
Requires port forwarding on your vessel’s NMEA network gateway for external access.
Once you have setup port forwarding of your NMEA gateway open SMB Navigator for Roku. Navigate to settings and enter IP address of the router installed on your vessel and enter port you just configured. Navigate back to any screen within Navigator.
Key Requirements
- Classic path: Router with port forwarding
- 4G/5G Router: Port forwarding is straightforward; mobile hotspots (with CGNAT) usually block it.
- Static IP: Needed for port forwarding; standard SIMs use dynamic IPs, so a Fixed IP SIM is recommended.
SmartMyBoat does not provide support for port forwarding setup. Contact your router manufacturer or ISP for assistance.
