It is intended for restaurants, shops, offices, schools, reception areas, etc., where you want to turn an existing Roku TV into a signage screen without buying a separate signage box.
What it supports

Photos, videos and audio

Google Drive as a content source

USB media on compatible Roku hardware

Playlists

Weekly schedules — e.g. breakfast menu 7–11 AM, lunch menu 11 AM–3 PM

Image timing and playback order

Fit/Fill display modes

Background music during photo playback

Startup playlists

Multiple Roku devices under an account

Export/import of playlists and schedules between devices

English, German, Canadian French, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese

One important distinction: despite the launch material describing it as cloud-based, it isn’t a full centralized signage CMS in the same sense as a mature enterprise platform.
